"I have come to help you see that forgiveness is an important step in personal holiness. There are steps within this step in holiness, as well. The first step in forgiveness is to recognize the need to forgive. The next step is to desire forgiveness. The soul who wants to forgive must embrace humility. Through humility, he can then forget the wrong perpetrated against him. Very often the soul will need to begin these steps in forgiveness over and over."

"The enemy of every soul wants you to contemplate the wrong done you so that as soon as you successfully forgive, the wound is opened again. Do not be discouraged by these attacks. Continually seek the assistance of My Mother, Mary, Refuge of Holy Love. She will help you to climb the steps of forgiveness."
